Dreams Spun

Words, are for me no different than any other media I use  to express that which is beyond language.  In fact, far greater than any visual media, they capture that which is the most important of all my creative explorations, my spiritual journey.

I enjoy a practice in presence that consists of  daily writing.  The words which come are for me...stepping stones along my own path and not intended to guide or direct anyone else.  Most are very brief poems.  Some are simply poetic insight.  Occasionally a short-short story emerges. These writings are a form of spiritual inquiry, which is my personal path to awakening. When I think about what I want to leave behind for my children and grandchildren it is the lessons I have learned and the discoveries I have made in my dedication to awakening.   Some of those are shared in a blog I have named Dreams Spun.

About Spiritual Self Inquiry and Daily Writing:

Spiritual self inquiry is just that, looking within for the deeper meaning in life; using the fodder of one's experiences to come to an individual understanding of Self.  What I love about the daily writing practice is the spontaneous nature of it.  I come to the page and simply wait on the words.  It is a type of communication between higher and lower mind.  The words come through me, to carry me beyond words.
Some pieces are quite esoteric in nature and draw on my spiritual understanding of the world as illusion, or dreams spun into being, shaped by individual and collective perception. Others are more exoteric; written from a perspective that engages more ordinary states of everyday consciousness, and my entanglement in those dreams I have spun.  Most come very quickly, all invite a delightful opportunity for creative receptivity and insight.
